Electricity on Site

Electricity on sites of any size is always an issue. The changes to people's lifestyles has put pressure on camp sites who in the main are normally simple places where people have historically not required electric with their tent bookings.

We appreciate that there are a number of things that you would wish to either bring with you or need to use on site whilst staying with us. However, we learnt a very important lesson during 2021 when more people wanted to get away and where the electrical needs well outstripped the supply.
​
Unfortunately, we are not currently in a position to upgrade our electrical feed to the site and therefore we try to manage with what we have available.
​
As we are not an all singing and all dancing site, we do try to accommodate individuals needs regarding such things as: phone charging; computer charging; lighting in your accommodation; running of camping fridges/iceboxes; charging of torches and alike.
​
Our electrical systems do not accommodate high wattage items such as electric fires; electric fan heaters; halogen heaters; electric cookers; irons; hair dryers; toasters; non-camping kettles (such as those you plug in at home); electric hot plates and other such powerful items. What we do have is such items as: cookers; fridges; irons; hair dryers; kettles; air fryer; toasters and alike in our main kitchen areas in order to help you with your needs and to minimise the strain on the electric hook up points.

We have a number of places where you can charge your tablets, mobile phones, computers, electric toys and alike where they are completely safe so please feel free to ask us to charge them for you.
​
Due to abuse of people using electrical fires and cookers in the past, we strongly advise you to consider if this is the type of electric hook up point you require, prior to booking your electric hook up needs with us.

We do sell hot water bottles and alike to keep you warm at night.
